DISCOVER CANOPUS
Bearing the name of the second-brightest star in all the heavens, as seen from Earth, the CANOPUS case is charged with features that enable you to assemble a one-of-a-kind gaming PC - a true battle station capable of obliterating virtual foes lurking in the depths of your gaming universe.
The commanding front panel joins lines and angles with the RGB light shed from a LED bar and included fans, to create an ultra-futuristic image that's perfected with a small backlit logo. As for the curious ones, the full view light-grey tinted tempered glass side panel allows peeking under the hood at any time.
LIGHT-INFUSED AIRFLOW
The three 120 mm fans pre-installed in CANOPUS and the LED bar use RGB lighting, which can be controlled by a dedicated button placed on the top of the case. Furthermore, you can connect the LED bar and the fans to the ARGB header of a compatible motherboard so the case illumination can match and sync with the rest of the hardware. All you need to do is press the LED button for five seconds, and the motherboard will take over from there.Although the airflow required to cool even advanced hardware is provided out of the box, you can boost the cooling capacity at any time by adding up to five extra 120 mm fans (two of which installed on top of the PSU chamber).
FULL-FLEDGED INTERIOR
Thoroughly protected by a magnetic dust filter, the all-black interior of CANOPUS is ready to host the latest hardware, ranging from ATX motherboards and 330 mm long graphics cards to 160 mm height CPU coolers. The dedicated chamber for bottom PSU installation and the multiple cable management outlets will keep everything neat and clean. Enhanced water cooling support up to 360 mm radiator in the front will unleash every bit of performance your rig is capable of, while the vertical mounts for the SSD’s will make your system look even more outstanding.
FUN FACTS
The name CANOPUS is tied to the Greek legends, as the pilot of king Menelaus fleet was named the same according to astronomer Fred Schaaf in his book 'The Brightest Stars: Discovering the Universe through the Sky's Most Brilliant Stars'. In science fiction, CANOPUS is best known for being the parent star for Arrakis, a dusty desert planet in the 'Dune' universe. In real life, the star's apparent distance from the sun, as well as its brightness compared to the star field around it, makes it a good star for spacecraft to regulate their attitude in orbit, according to the Encyclopedia Britannica. NASA's Mariner 10 spacecraft (en route to Mercury in 1974) did navigate by CANOPUS.
